Fun Stuff | Boston, MA Newborn, Baby and Family Photographer

School’s back in session, fall is here, and everyone seems to be in an organizational mode. Whether you are organizing for your kids, your home, your work, or your life, it seems like everyone is getting into it right now, me included. Since my kids started back to school I have decided to organize my office, my computer, my kitchen, my bedroom, and there are other things I am hoping to get organized. It’s been three weeks since school started and here is what I have finished organizing… zilch! My bedroom is half painted (but the new furniture looks great against the freshly painted wall), I got a new printer and set it up, but now there are all sorts of fresh piles in my office, and I can’t find the photos I took of my kids on the first day of school – guess I over organized my computer.

I have been busy with lots of family sessions, and more to come as the holiday season approaches, but I haven’t been organized enough to blog about the family sessions I have already done (they will be posted soon). I thought that this blog would be more about some of the fun things I have been finding online to help me organize my life, or to distract me from organizing!

Kitchen and cooking – just found this app, Pepperplate, to help me organize my online recipes! It’s great because I now have the recipes in one place, along with a shopping list, and menu planner! Other recipe based blogs, Budget Bytes has some tasty recipes or the yummy Annie’s Eats.

Overall fun for cooking, playing and shopping – Whipperberry or Brit + Co always has fun ideas.

Great reading for moms, and I have to say that I found both of these blogs because I have known both of these moms, but both are great writers and a lot of fun to read! Mean Mommy and Days With Us.

Hope you enjoyed this detour from my usual blog! I would love to hear of any blogs or sites you think I should check out, always looking for more distractions from my organizing! Seriously, if you are organized, or think you are close to it, don’t forget about booking your family photo session for your holiday cards! 617-799-6008 or amara@amaracohenphotography.com
