Congratulations to all the 2012 graduates! You did it! For some of you it means stepping out on your own, and moving away from your family. This family was in Boston celebrating their son’s college graduation, and helping him set up his new Boston apartment, then it was back to Japan for mom and dad. Mom contacted me months ago to make sure we could get the exact day in the calendar to accommodate the graduation, the move and the return to Japan – we had two days try for a session! It worked, and we were lucky enough to get a beautiful day in Boston.
We also had to find an area that would be both beautiful and easy to get to for the family. Amory Park in Brookline, MA fit the bill. Plenty of trees, walk way around a pond, and flowers. This park is not only a great spot to go for photos, but it has a place for dogs to run around during certain times, tennis courts, baseball field, shady hills, and the pathway in the back. I did a family session here in the fall too and it was just as beautiful. I think I will be going back again later this summer for more sessions.
