If you live in New England you have to be ready for the weather to change with a blink of an eye. Well last weekend we had some warning that rain was finally going to come, unfortunately it was coming when I was supposed to photograph this fabulous family of five. We were able to change the session to the day before the rain, before many birthday parties planned for the day! (Oh, did I mention we had already reschedule due to a fun stomach bug one of the kids had the previous weekend.) Woke up Saturday, and it was cloudy, which is perfectly fine for photographs – nice consistent light, but during the session the sun would make an appearance giving us some beautiful morning light to work with. Sometimes working with kids can be like the weather in New England, one minute they are standing and smiling in front of you, all together, then next off they go onto the next thing without worrying about becoming a blur in the camera!
This family was so much fun to work with and get to know – so relaxed, happy, loving and silly! No one was worried about hair blowing in front of their faces, who was smiling or who was sticking out their tongue, it all worked. It also helped that everyone of them shined in front of the camera! Thank you for letting me capture your family on a breezy Saturday morning! I am looking forward to getting to know you all as the years go on.
And I just had to add this silly one it (one of the first of the day)!

I love them all, but the one of dad & son in the grass literally took my breath away. LOVE that image. Great capture!
