Project 12 {Bloom} | Boston Children and Family Photographer

The theme for this month’s Project 12 is Bloom. This was a hard one for me to think of what I wanted to show. Of course I could have gone with flowers, newborns, babies or some other spring like thing, but then I read the blog entry for Heather McGinnis Photography for her Project 12, and I knew what I had to use (thank you Heather).

Yesterday was lacrosse day at my house – two boys, two games, same time, two parents. I got to see my older son’s game, and photograph it as well, while my husband coached our younger son’s game. Our older son has been playing for 4 years, and has worked at his skills, but this year something has just clicked for him. I was so happy to be at yesterday’s game, because he finally accomplished his biggest hope in lacrosse – to score a goal! And he did in style, with three of them for a hat trick! Something has just Bloomed with him this year – his confidence and it is making such a difference in how he plays. He has definitely bloomed on the field, but I can really see who he is becoming as a young man, not a little boy he used to be.
